Introduction

This privacy policy aims to provide you with information about how Foreshadow AB (the "Company") handles your personal data, and to ensure that you feel confident that the processing is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and other applicable personal data legislation.

Who is the Data Controller?

The Company is the data controller for the processing of personal data collected from you, the individual who registers an account on the Company's website. Such account enables you to watch films and other materials uploaded by third parties and give reviews, comments and answers to questions related to such films and materials.

Types of Personal Data Processed

The Company processes the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Gender
  • Age
  • City and country of Residence
  • Login Details
  • Your reviews of films both individually and in combination with other reviews

The Company needs to collect your name, email address and login details in order to administer and provide the services offered by your membership and to allow you to provide reviews of films. We provide your reviews to our customers, which consists primarily of production companies, film, TV and streaming companies and screenwriters ("Customers"), in order for them to be able to evaluate their film idea. Your reviews are provided to our Customers in both aggregated and individual format. The purpose of providing reviews in individual format is to be able to provide Customers with individual comments that cannot be aggregated. We will never transfer your name or full identity to our Customers.

We use your gender, age and the city and country where you live so that our Customers can get an idea of which groups and segments of people have differing opinions about their films.

Who May We Share Your Data With?

The Company may transfer your personal data to website administrators and system providers. The Company will also transfer your personal data to its Customers. Customers will receive the data in anonymized and aggregated format. Third parties such as administrators and system providers may only process your personal data on behalf of the Company and in accordance with the Company's instructions to the data processor. The Company does not allow third parties to use your personal data in any other way. The Company takes all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure that your data is handled securely and with an adequate level of protection when transferred to or shared with such third parties.

The Company may also disclose your personal data to authorities, such as the Swedish Tax Agency, if we are required to do so by law. In the event that all or part of the Company's operations are divested, the Company may transfer your personal data to a potential buyer of the operations.

How Long Do We Store Your Data?

Your personal data will be processed for as long as necessary for the Company to administer your membership. Data collected for the administration of the membership will be deleted by the Company when you have terminated your membership.

The Company may also store your personal data for a longer period if it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation that requires processing under applicable law, or for the Company to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

The Company will store your reviews even after you have terminated your membership but will delete all information that can be linked to your reviews. Accordingly, these reviews will no longer constitute personal data.

Your Rights

You have certain statutory rights that you can assert against the Company. Below is a summary of these rights. For full information about your rights, please see the Data Protection Regulation, Sections 3–5.

  • Right to access/extract from the register: You have the right to receive an answer as to whether the Company processes personal data about you. If so, you have the right to information about, among other things, what personal data is processed, the purposes of the processing, which external recipients will receive your personal data and how long we will store your personal data.
  • Right to data portability: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that you have provided to the Company in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to request that the Company transmit this personal data to another data controller. The right to data portability applies to personal data that is processed by automated means, and which is based on your consent or on a contract to which you are a party.
  • Correction of inaccurate data: You have the right to request that the Company correct incorrect or incomplete information about yourself.
  • Erasure of certain data: You have the right to request that the Company erase your personal data under certain conditions, e.g. if the personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which we collected the personal data.
  • Right to object to the Company's processing of personal data: You have the right to object to the Company's processing of your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Right to object to direct marketing: You have the right to object at any time to the Company's processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. If you object to such processing, the Company shall cease all direct marketing to you without undue delay.
  • Right to restriction of processing of your personal data: You have the right to request a restriction of the Company's processing of your personal data in certain cases. For example, if you have contested the accuracy of your personal data, you may request restriction of processing for a period of time that allows the Company to verify whether the personal data is accurate.
  • Complaints: If you have a complaint regarding the Company's processing of your personal data, you have the right to file such a complaint with the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
